Considering that it had been three years since Thomas Benoit moved to Castelia City, one would think the man would've gotten used to the hustle and bustle of Castelia City. But alas, the constantly packed streets, and the people packed within those crowds continued to annoy the dark-haired man to no end. The fact that he couldn't stand his coworkers at the branch didn't help things either. Whether it was his boss being a pinhead, or some of his coworkers either being too loose with their morals, or too self-righteous, he seemed to be good at finding something to dislike about them. Solace from this daily grind in the city came in two forms. The first was the liquor store. With the pay being as good as it was, Thomas found himself at ease to afford his preferred liquor, always having a flask full of the stuff, to get him through the day. But when a constant buzz wasn't enough to keep him sane, a trip to the Pinwheel Forest would help the Kalosian calm his nerves. Upon crossing the Skyarrow Bridge, Thomas would quickly settle into the relative solitude of the forest. The sounds of Pokemon throughout the forest, in differing proximity to him, would greet the Agent. Thomas, taking in the sounds, the scent, and the air of the well shaded forest, casually made his way through the forest, towards his favorite spot. A large tree sitting in the forest would stand tall, a tree that Thomas would sit up against. For the next few hours, Thomas would take in nature, alongside Baph, his faithful Houndoom. The hell hound would lay down on the grass, next to his master. As Thomas went to pet the Pokemon, the Houndoom would rest his head against Thomas' leg, his pointed tail wagging happily as Thomas stroked his head, behavior betraying his vicious appearance. Thomas, meanwhile, would take a swig from his flask, holding it above his mouth, rather than letting his lips make contact with it, as he poured the liquor in.

Forest was completely distracted with worry for her ranch. She didn't like having to leave it alone for long periods of time. But she had needed to leave Alola for a few days and go to Unova to drop off a pokemon that a traveling trainer had left at her ranch. Sadly the trainer was very ill and had requested she bring it home for them, which of course Forest was happy to do. She had packed up her pokemon in their poke'balls except for Amber who traveled at her side. She had bought an incubator for her Eevee egg which she now carried in her arms.
As Amber and Forest walked through Celestia City looking for the house she couldn't help but wish for the wide open spaces back at her ranch. The city was so crowded and every which was she turned to was bumped, pushed, or shoved out of another persons way. She kept a very good grip on the incubator being careful not to drop it. After what felt like forever Forest finally found the trainers house. Upon knocking on the door was was welcomed by the trainers mother who refused to let her in for fear she may get sick as well. Apparently not only was the owner of the Pichu sick but so was his father and his younger twin sisters. His mother was the only one not to have come down with it yet. But after explaining she couldn't hand over the pokemon to anyone but the trainer she fug up a mask for her to wear and allowed her into the room where she gladly returned the Pichu to him than quickly fled the house.
Once outside the house full of sick people Forest needed to breath fresh clean air more than ever. Having heard of a large forest called the Pinwheel forest was nearby she quickly made her way in that direction. Forest ended up having to cross the Sky Bridge before finally entering Pinwheel Forest. She didn't even pause at the edge but ran several feet in before coming to a pause spreading her arms open wide and taking a deep breath and sighed. "I hope we never have to go to Castelia again Amber. City life just isn't for me I'm to much of a country girl," she said softly before slowly heading further into the forest.

The next few hours of the day would go by without a hitch. While the Houndoom was brought out mostly as a precaution against any Wild Pokemon that would attempt to attack him while he was trying to unwind, it seemed that the hound was able to get some rest in himself. Any Wild Pokemon that came near the duo would quickly spot the horned canine, and quickly turn tail. If Thomas noticed any of them coming, he would just allow them to leave without chase, content to taking the occasional swig of his whiskey. The silence would be broken by footsteps. Baph would immediately perk up upon hearing two sets of footsteps. One was that of a human. The other seemed to be a Pokemon accompanying them, a quadruped that was rather light. The Houndoom would stand on alert, in the direction that the duo would be coming down, where they would most likely cross paths with the Kalosian and his dog. Thomas would take notice to his Houndoom suddenly being on alert. As the Agent rose to his feet, Thomas' attention would be turned towards where the Houndoom was coming from. As Thomas saw it, it was one of two things: either someone passing through the area, as it usually was, or it was someone after him. It wasn't exactly a secret that he liked to make the occasional trip to the Pinwheel Forest, so if someone wanted to kill him, this was the place to do so, with there would likely be no witnesses, and with plenty of places to hide his body, if they so desired.
